Hail insurance claim — GAF ArmorShield II Class 4 roof — new decking — ProVia Cedar Peaks siding — near 114th & Center
This two-story home near 114th and Center (68144) has a mansard-style roof with dormers, and the 2026 hail season damaged both the roof and the siding. Hail damaged the shingles and vinyl siding on this West Omaha home in 2026. The homeowner came to Goodlife by referral, and we opened the insurance claim in May, met the adjuster and stayed with it through the scope until the claim was approved in September.
The mansard-style roof has steep lower slopes, dormers and a low-slope section, so every area had to be detailed differently.
On October 2 our crew tore off the roof, replaced damaged decking with new OSB, added intake ventilation and installed GAF Timberline ArmorShield II Class 4 impact-resistant shingles in Barkwood, with matching roll roofing on the low-slope area. Class 4 shingles may qualify for a homeowners insurance discount; ask your agent.
Then we wrapped the house and installed ProVia Cedar Peaks Dutch lap siding in Sandalwood with Clay soffit and trim, including the dormers.
