Storm damage insurance claim — new Malarkey roof, full vinyl siding, gutters and skylights — Southwest Iowa
This rural Villisca home (50864) took storm damage to the roof and siding. Goodlife Exteriors inspected it in June 2026, worked the State Farm claim until full siding replacement was approved, then replaced the roof, siding and gutters. The job was completed in September 2026.

A storm damaged the roof and vinyl siding on this home outside Villisca. Our first inspection was in June 2026, and the State Farm claim covered the roof first. The siding was the hard part: we stayed on the desk adjuster until State Farm agreed to pay for full siding replacement instead of patching.
We also documented the garage entry door so it could be reviewed and approved as part of the claim.
Our crews replaced the roof with Malarkey Vista AR shingles in Storm Grey, installed two new Velux skylights and ridge vent, wrapped the house in new house wrap, and installed gray Dutch lap vinyl siding with new white gutters and downspouts.
The job was completed on September 22, 2026. As a Malarkey Certified Residential Contractor, Goodlife registers the shingle warranty after installation.
